Zing Japanese Fusion is a quiet little spot in downtown Mishawaka, Indiana. Nestled amongst the downtown buildings, it holds the corner spot boasting outside seating. The atmosphere is pretty low key, while upbeat pop music plays in the background. Most of the restaurant has a great streetscape view. The natural lighting adds to the relaxing atmosphere too.

Zing offers many different hibachi, sushi, specialty rolls, Japanese, and other small plate options that even the most finicky person's appetite will be satisfied. The menu is expansive and totes intriguing names for their specialty roll offerings. Spider Roll, Ninja Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Pink Angel Roll, Rock & Roll, and Dragon Roll to name a few.

We opted for the Mango Roll and the Rock & Roll. The presentation was off the hook amazing! The Mango Madness included Tuna, Shrimp, and Avocado with Mango sauce topped with thin slices of mango. The blend of sweetness from the mango and the kick from the Wasabi is a perfect pairing. The Rock & Roll is Shrimp Tempura, avocado & cucumber, wrapped with soy paper, topped with spicy salmon. It was so delish. They definitely have their recipe for the Shrimp Tempura just right and the spicy salmon won my palate over again and again with each bite. It had my taste buds rocking and rolling for the next one!

Not sure what to order and want a variety? I hear the Bento Box Lunch option is a great way to enjoy Zing for a quick lunch. The next time I visit Zing, I'm ordering the Hibachi entrees. All include a ginger salad, soup, Hibachi vegetables, Hibachi shrimp & rice. Zing also offers large variety of sake and tea options too.
