It's lunch time and looking for a place to stop for lunch? If you're traveling in Eastern Indiana along State Road 32 or US 27, look no further than Everett's Place located on Franklin Street directly across from the Randolph County Courthouse. Nan Harris, General Manager and Trudy Ludwick along with her culinary team, have made this a favorite lunch spot.
Everything about their made from scratch menu is taste bud worthy! A friend told me to check out their daily specials, especially if "cheesy potatoes" is on the board. The menu had some great choices, The House Cuban, Reuben Sandwich and Trudy's Chicken Salad are local favorites, but I elected to have the daily special, Beef Brisket Sandwich. It usually comes with chips, but I chose another special that day, the "cheesy potatoes". The beef brisket was so tender and the cheesy potatoes were just so "cheesy" good. You will also find dessert specials, like the Strawberry Cream Pie or Chocolate Mayo Cake.
Everett's Place is a must stop, so come with a hungry appetite! Everett's Place in Winchester is highlighter on Indiana Foodways Alliance's Hoosier Pie, Tenderloin, and Soup, Salad & Sandwich Trails.
