November 4, 2014 - General -
Columbus, Indiana is known for many things. But, have you ever thought of going to its airport to eat? Blackerbys Hangar 5 offers a terrific family experience for either breakfast or lunch. You can eat and watch the planes taxi, take-off or land. And after lunch head to the Bakalar Atterbury Air Museum.
This is about the dining. Lunch time. You cant miss with the tenderloin. Good ole Indiana soul food. Tender and juicy, its called the Taildragger Tenderloin and it is hand cut and hand breaded daily! The tender loving preparation is evident in every bite. Looking for a different twist on the BLT? Try the BLTAbacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, swiss cheese and parmesean on toasted sourdough bread. Its plain to see why they call it their signature sandwich Burgers? Try the Big Wing Burger. It will settle even the biggest appetite!
Breakfast? They have some layered breakfasts. The Tomahawk features Chorizo Sausage, Green Chiles, Diced Onions, Fresh Salsa and Cheese over piper potatoes and under two basted eggs. YUM!
Best part is that you can order breakfast anytime while they are open!
Blackerbys Hangar5 is open daily from 6:30 am to 2 pm. Check out their website www.hangarfiverestaurant.com or on Facebook. For more information about the air museum contact the Columbus Area Visitors Center at 800.468.6564.
