I walk onto the beautiful grounds of the Simmons Family Winery walk into their new Microbrewery pub 450 North Brewing Co. at Simmons Winery and what is the first thing I want to talk about. Pizza and garlic knots! Say what?

Yes, wine guru that I am (I havent met an Indiana wine that I dont like) and I am totally blown away by their pizza! Oven baked to perfection. The crust is soft and chewable. The problem is often in settling on which one to order. The ingredients are often in season from the Simmons Farm so they do offer field to table experience. My problem is deciding which one to try. So, I am working my way thru all of them. So far, Ive had the Super Supreme and the Chicken Alfredo. All pizzas are 16. Did I mention to take an appetite or be prepared to carry home a box or two! You have to try the Garlic Knots with the white cheddar cheese dip. Melted in my mouth. Trouble is after the knots&I was too full for more pizza! Other items are offered on their menu. So, Ill just say if you love microbrew. Youll find something to fill your palate! Since I am a resident wine guru. Stop in the shop and try one of the many wines that have brought awards to the Simmons Family. Theyve been in business 20 years and it is so much fun to see how their business has expanded.
