Great Food Along the Ohio River!

Waterfront Grille Rocky Point, Cannelton, IN Looking for a weekend getaway? How about a trip to Tell City in Perry County, Indiana? It is a long way (depending on where you are coming from) down to Tell City but it is a beautiful drive, especially in the Fall! Even better, is the view from the Waterfront Grille Rocky Point in Cannelton, IN, not too far from Tell City. The restaurant overlooks the Ohio River, which is very picturesque especially with all the trees decked out in their fall colors. It's great to watch the boats go by and to watch all the happenings at the camping area located across the street, along the river. It's a great place to relax for the evening especially if it's warm enough to sit on their deck overlooking the water.

The food at the Waterfront Grille is even more spectacular than the view, if that's possible! They have a great variety of fish, salads, sandwiches, BBQ, etc. and don't forget the dessert! Their Key Lime Pie, when in season, is to die for and is made locally just for the restaurant! If Key Lime isn't your cup of tea they also have a variety of other desserts including other pies, like Sugar Cream Pie and Pecan Pie. For the main course we recommend their catfish, either fillets or on the bone, they are both delicious. The fish is so plump and is nice and crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside, with the perfect amount of seasoning! You can't go wrong with a side of Onion Rings too! In addition, their grilled tilapia is just as good as their catfish. If you are looking for something on the lighter side try the grilled salmon salad, a perfectly cooked, grilled salmon fillet on a bed of greens with tomato, onions, croutons, cheese and pepperoncini peppers. Don't forget to try the tenderloin or the BBQ too! Everything was excellent!

The Waterfront Grille Rocky Point is a great place to gather with friends during any season, if you visit during the warmer months on a Friday or Saturday night there is also live entertainment on the deck from 6pm till whenever. Make a day of it and visit downtown Tell City and the Blue Heron Winery (the winery is practically next door to the restaurant) before or after visiting the Waterfront Grille! Enjoy!
