Beasley's Orchard

November 4, 2014 - General -

School is starting and everyones thoughts are turning to fall. When I think of fall, I think, apples, pumpkins, hay rides, apple cider, harvest, etc. Beasleys Orchard is the perfect place to go to get your fill of all your autumn fun! They are not just an autumn location though; you can start getting the experience in July! They have fresh produce grown on the farm such as 7 different varieties of melons, corn, squash, egg plant and tomatoes during the summer and in the fall it gets even better with 22 varieties of apples and pumpkins as well. Not to mention all the jams, jellies, candies, cider, pies, apple dumplings, cookies, bread, caramel apples and more that they have in their shop!

Beasleys Orchard is a family farm that was started in the 1940s but the barn has been around since the civil war (it was renovated in the 1970s). They are incredibly busy from July to December during open season every year. In the fall they have hayrides, a corn maze an apple festival (the first two weekends in October) and they are a big field trip location. They have been known to have days when they have 700 school kids visit all at once and they handle it easily! Wow!

Beasleys Orchard is a great way to show your family where food comes from and have fun in the process! Be sure to check it out and dont leave without trying some cider and some apple products!
